Motorola Moto G Pro Starts Getting Android 12 Update

Motorola Moto G Pro Android 12 update

Motorola has finally started sending the Android 12 update, and it all starts with Moto G Pro. It’s quite surprising to see Android 12 update on mid-range Moto G Pro ahead of the company’s high-end phones like Moto Edge 20 series, Moto Razr 5G, Razr 2020, and business edition phones.

Moto G Pro becomes Motorola’s first phone to receive the Android 12 update. The device is also known as Moto G Stylus in the United States. For now, the update is rolling out in the UK with the software version S0PR32.44-11-8. Hopefully, the rollout will expand to more regions in the coming days.

In December, Motorola announced a list of devices eligible for the Android 12 upgrade. Other than Moto G Pro, the list includes 29 more devices. Hopefully, the Android 12 update will slowly hit other eligible Moto phones in the coming weeks and months.

Moto G Pro users in the UK have started receiving the Android 12 update. In case you own the device and reside in that region, you are not far away from receiving the update. To manually check for new updates, navigate to Settings -> System -> Advanced -> System Updates.

Motorola released the Moto G Pro back in 2020 with Android 10 out of the box. So, Android 12 is the second major OS upgrade, and probably the last OS update for the device.
