Nubia Red Magic 7 (NX679J) Appears on Geekbench With Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and 18GB RAM

The Red Magic 6 gaming series grabbed good attention among the gaming community, and now Nubia has started working on its successor – Red Magic 7. While the company has not confirmed its arrival, the device has been recently spotted on multiple certification sites, revealing several key details. Now, we have more details about the Nubia Red Magic 7, coming from the Geekbench listing.
The Nubia Red Magic 7 has been spotted (via) on the benchmarking site with the model number NX679J. According to the Geekbench listing, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. It has a whopping 18GB RAM. Though, we can expect a 12GB RAM variant also. Unsurprisingly, the device will boot Android 12 out of the box.

Nubia Red Magic 7 (NX679J), when tested on Geekbench v5, scored 1219 and 3732 points in the single-core and multi-core tests. That’s all pretty much details we could grab from the benchmarking site. However, most of the specs are already known to us, thanks to TENAA and 3C listings.
The TENAA listing for Nubia NX679J reveals that the device has a 6.8-inch OLED screen with 2400 × 1080 pixels (FullHD+) resolution. The triple camera setup on the back includes a 64MP primary shooter and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Red Magic 7 will use a dual-cell battery having a total rated capacity of 4,380mAh. It will support 165W fast charging, as per the 3C certification listing. TENAA listing also reveals that the device could be offered in 8GB, 12GB, 16GB RAM options and 128GB, 256GB, 512GB memory options. The top-tier variant will come with 18GB RAM, as we saw above in the Geekbench listing.
