OnePlus Ace Racing Edition Launch Date Announced; To Be Powered by Dimensity 8100-Max SoC
Another phone powered by the Dimensity 8100-Max chipset is coming soon, and it’s the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition. It seems like the custom made Dimensity 8100-Max is for the OnePlus phones only. The brand has already launched two phones with this new chipset, the OnePlus 10R and the OnePlus Ace. Today, OnePlus officially announced the launch date of the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition, which will also be powered by the Dimensity 8100-Max chipset.
OnePlus Ace Racing Edition will launch on May 17 in China. The launch event will go live at 7:00 PM (local time). The launch poster also reveals the phone’s design and the colour options. It reveals that the device has a triple camera setup on the back that looks similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro. On the front, it has a flat display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
OnePlus has teased the Ace Racing Edition smartphone in blue and black colours. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, hinting that it will sport an LED panel. Unlike the OnePlus Ace, the company’s logo position has been again shifted to its original position – at the centre. The official poster also confirms that the device has a 64MP primary camera on the back.

OnePlus Ace Racing Edition reportedly carries the model number PGZ110, which was recently spotted on TENAA. It revealed that the device has a 6.59-inch LCD LTPS display with a FullHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels. According to a Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, it will be offered in three storage configurations: 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB.
Back to the TENAA listing, it also revealed that the OnePlus phone will feature a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera setup and a 16MP selfie camera. It will pack a 4,890mAh rated battery with support for fast charging.
