PUBG Mobile which got banned in India 2 months ago, will soon make a return in the country. According to a report by Techcrunch, gaming giant PUBG has privately informed some high-profile gaming streamers in the country that PUBG Mobile could return to India before the year-end. The sources remained anonymous as they are not authorized to speak to the press.
Further report mentions that PUBG could make an announcement regarding its future plans for India as soon as this week. One of the sources also said that PUBG has plans to run marketing campaign in the country during the Diwali festival.
Sources reveal that South Kroean firm is in talks with Indian companies to store the data within the country. Prior to the ban, all the PUBG Mobile’s data was store on Tencent cloud, After the ban in India, PUBG corporation removed publishing rights from Tencent.
According to the Industry sources, PUBG interacted with a number of local firms which includes Paytm, Telecom giant Airtel for publishing the game in the country. Before the ban, PUBG was the most popular game in India with more than 50 million monthly active users.
