Qualcomm to develop its own gaming smartphone in partnership with ASUS

Qualcomm is holding a Snapdragon Tech Summit that will take place on December 1-2. At the event, the company is most likely to unveil the 5nm process based Snapdragon 875 chipset that will use the high performing Cortex-X1 cores.

According to a recent report by Digitimes, Qualcomm will be in partnership with ASUS to develop its own gaming smartphone. Speculations believe that Snapdragon 875 will power the Qualcomm’s gaming smartphone. The specifications and launch date are currently a mystery but the report points launch to be happening at the end of 2021.

ASUS is a key player in the market when it comes to gaming smartphone. They bring high performing CPUs, GPUs, better display, and good controllers to its gaming smartphones. Thus, partnering with ASUS for developing a gaming smartphone can be a solid start.
