Realme is sending a new software update to the Realme X7 5G users. The update brings April 2021 security patch and adds the VoWiFi feature to the smartphone.
For those who are unaware, Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) or Wi-Fi calling gives users a better clarity of voice calling, even in the areas where network coverage is not so strong such as indoors. Technically speaking, VoWiFi is a complementary technology to VoLTE that uses Wi-Fi to send packets over IP.
In addition to April 2021 security patch and VoWiFi feature, the update for Realme X7 5G optimizes system performance, fixes some known bugs, and improves system stability & user experience. It is rolling out to Realme X7 5G users with software version RMX3092_11_A.17. Users who have not received the update yet, can manually check the status by navigating to Settings >> Software updates.
