Redmi K30S launches with 144Hz display, SD865, and 64MP triple cameras: price, specifications

Xiaomi finally launches the Redmi K30S in China today as the most affordable phone with Snapdragon 865 SoC. The Redmi K30S starts with a price tag of CNY2,599 (~Rs 28,600/$388) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.

There is also an 8GB RAM + 256GB variant which is priced at CNY 2,799 (~Rs 30,800/$418). Both the models will be available with CNY 200 discount during the Nov 11 Single’s Day sales. It will be offered in two color options – Black and Silver.

Redmi K30S specifications

The Redmi K30S has a 6.67-inch FullHD+ display with 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and 650nits of maximum brightness. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The handset runs Android 10 based MIUI 12 custom skin.

The triple camera setup on the rear side consists of a 64MP Sony IMX682 main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens with a 123-degree field of view, and a 5MP macro shooter. For selfies and video calling, there’s a 20MP shooter. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports a 33W fast charger that comes within the retail box.

Other specs include – a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and 5G. The smartphone is a rebranded version of the Mi 10T that recently arrived in India. The only difference there is in terms of memory configuration where the Mi 10T has a 6GB RAM variant whereas the Redmi K30S does not have.
