Redmi K50 series has been in the news for months. Though the company has not announced a launch date, Redmi’s GM Lu Weibing recently hinted that the K50 series could be announced at the upcoming press conference. The launch of the Redmi K50 series does not seem too far from here, as the devices have now bagged CMIIT certification.
The Redmi K50 series phones have been spotted on the CMIIT certification site with model numbers 22021211RC, 22041211AC, and 22011211C. The top-end Redmi K50 Pro+ is said to pack the Dimensity 9000 chipset, while the standard K50 and K50 Pro might get Snapdragon 870 and Dimensity 8000 chipset. Redmi is also expected to bring the K50 Gaming edition, which, according to recent reports, could launch ahead of the other three K50 models.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset could power the Redmi K50 Gaming edition. The device is said to have a 6.67-inch flexible display, dual VC cooling system, and gaming shoulder buttons. It could pack a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
