Xiaomi will launch Redmi Note 10S in India on May 13. This will be the fourth member in Redmi Note 10 series which includes Redmi Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro Max. Ahead of the launch, a post by the telegram channel
MIUI Updates Tracker reveals that Redmi Note 10S will launch with MIUI 12.5 skin which is based on
Android 11. This may feel exciting to some people, but it is not.
The changelog mentions that MIUI 12.5 will optimize the system performance, system security, and stability. However, the Chinese version of MIUI 12.5 brings some major changes in CPU utilization, dedicated thread for gestures, and impressive power management. But, there are no such changes mentioned in the changelog of Redmi Note 10S. So, It is likely that the phone will not come with these major changes. However, things will be clear when the device goes official.
MIUI 12.5 major changes
The MIUI 12.5 may seem a small increment to MIUI 12 but actually its a big bump. It brings a revamped system UI which reduces the CPU usage by up to 22% and gestures are now more faster thanks to the dedicated thread method. Another big thing is that, MIUI 12.5 allows users to remove many system apps, which are headache to users running MIUI 12 or lower.
