Redmi Note 12 series is on the way as the device has now started surfacing on certification sites. It will be a successor to the Redmi Note 11 series that debuted in China last year. The upcoming Redmi Note series is also said to include three phones. Out of them, two devices have not passed through CMIIT certification.
New Redmi phones have been spotted on the CMIIT certification site with model numbers 22041216C and 22041216UC. The CMIIT listing does not reveal devices’ names. However, a reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the model numbers belong to the Redmi Note 12 series.
The certification site fails to reveal any details about the device. But, thanks to past leaks, we already know what the Redmi Note 12 series might bring. The next Redmi Note series is also likely to include three devices: Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro+. According to leaks coming from China, all three phones could be powered by MediaTek chipsets.
The standard Redmi Note 12 is said to be powered by a Dimensity 810 SoC; the Redmi Note 12 Pro might get a Dimensity 1300 SoC and the top-tier Redmi Note 12 Pro+ could be driven by a Dimensity 8100 SoC.
Rumours are that Xiaomi could be planning to unveil the Redmi Note 12 series next month in China. If so, then the brand might start teasing its arrival in the coming weeks.
