Xiaomi recently announced the arrival of Redmi Note 8 2021, without revealing much details. Today, the company has posted a new teaser on Twitter that reveals the design of Redmi Note 8 2021, while the launch date is still a mystery.
The first thing we notice is that the 2021 version will retain the waterdrop notch from the original Redmi Note 8 which was launched back in 2019. The display is flat and at the bottom, it has a chin with Redmi branding, which is also there in the original model.
The left side of the phone has a sim-tray, whereas the power button and volume rockers will are obviously on the right side. Redmi Note 9 2021 front design is pretty much similar to the original model, but the rear side design is currently unknown.
The teaser does not reveal any specs but thanks to FCC listing, which reveals that the phone has MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, a 4,000 mAh battery, 22.5W fast charging, and MIUI 12.5 (Android 11). The phone is said to have a quad-camera setup on the rear side with a 48-megapixel main sensor.
As of now, the launch date of Redmi Note 8 2021 is unknown, but since the company has started putting up teasers on the internet, the launch does not seem too far from here. We can expect the phone to go official by the end of this month or in the first week of June.
