Redmi Note 8 starts getting Android 11 stable update, Download link inside

Android 11 stable update has now started rolling out to Redmi Note 8 users in China. The device was launched back in 2020 with Android 9 Pie. So, this is the second major OS update for Redmi Note 8.

The latest update for Redmi Note 8 is rolling out with firmware version V12.0.1.0.RCOCNXM. The update is based on MIUI 12 skin. It’s worth noting that Redmi Note 8 is under testing for MIUI 12.5. So, soon the Chinese users of Redmi Note 8 may be blessed with the latest iteration of MIUI.

Chinese users of Redmi Note 8 can download the latest update by navigating to Settings -> About phone -> System update. As usual, the update is currently rolling out in batches and will rollout widely in the upcoming days. We expect the company to rollout the same update in other regions too.
