Samsung Galaxy A22 4G moves a step closer to the launch as it bags TKDN certification

Samsung preparing itself to introduce a new member in the Galaxy A-series dubbed Galaxy A22. The smartphone is expected to come in 4G and 5G variants. Today, we have spotted the Galaxy A22 4G with model number SM-A225F on Indonesia’s TKDN certification. The TKDN listing does not reveal any specifications but it hints that the Galaxy A22 4G launch is imminent.

Before this, the Galaxy A22 4G has been spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance, Bluetooth SIG, Geekbench, and TUV Rheinland. The Geekbench listing reveals that the device is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 chipset and has a 6GB RAM variant. On the software front, Galaxy A22 4G will boot Android 11 with Samsung’s One UI custom skin at the top.

The device also surfaced on FCC certification with model number SM-A225M/DSN, which revealed that the phone supports 15W fast charging. Recently, a report by 91Mobiles revealed the complete design of Galaxy A22 4G and 5G models. According to the image, the 4G model will pack a quad rear camera setup while the 5G model will only get a total of three camera sensors on the back. Both have a notched display to house the selfie camera.

The Galaxy A22 4G is said to have a 6.4-inch HD+ AMOLED display, 48MP + 5M + 2MP + 2MP quad rear cameras, a 13MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. As of now, Samsung has not announced a launch date for the Galaxy A22 4G and 5G phones. But, since the device has already bagged multiple certifications, we can expect the launch to be not too far from here.
