Samsung Galaxy A40 gets January 2022 Security Patch Update

Samsung’s January 2022 security patch has reached dozens of Galaxy phones, and the company has not stopped sending it to more devices. The South Korean giant is now pushing the January 2022 security update for Galaxy A40, improving device security and privacy.
Samsung Galaxy A40’s latest software update is reportedly rolling out in Germany. It should reach more regions over the next few days. The update incorporates the January security patch, which includes fixes for 2 critical, 36 high, and 5 moderate level vulnerabilities. Also, the OTA update improves system stability.
Samsung Galaxy A40 users in Germany are picking up the January update. Those who have not received it yet should manually look for new updates via Settings >> Software updates.
Samsung released the Galaxy A40 back in 2019 with Android 9 Pie out of the box. Fulfilling the promise, Samsung has already rolled out two major OS upgrades for the device, as a result, it is now running on Android 11 OS. And therefore, the Galaxy A40 is not eligible to receive the Android 12 update.
