Samsung Galaxy S10 users in India are now receiving the January 2022 security update. The device started receiving the January update last month, but the rollout was limited to Germany, which is now expanding to India.
The January update for Galaxy S10 users in India comes with the firmware versions G973FXXUEGVA4 / G973FOXMEGVA4 / G973FXXUEGVA2. The latest OTA package has a download size of 168.31MB. It brings the Android security patch level to January 2022 to improve system security and privacy by fixing dozens of vulnerabilities.
According to the changelog, the update may update Samsung core apps to their latest version. It includes Samsung Notes, Samsung Internet, Samsung Health, Samsung Members, Calculator, Email, Smart Switch, and Voice Recorder.
Samsung Galaxy S10 users in India have started picking up the January update. Those who have not received it yet should manually check for new updates from the Software Update section under the Settings app.
The South Korean firm has also started rolling out the February 2022 security patch, which debuted on Galaxy Note 20 series. We can expect the brand to release the February update for Galaxy S10 in the coming weeks.
