Samsung Galaxy S20 FE starts receiving One UI 3.1 update based on Android 11. The update is currently rolling out with firmware version G781BXXU2CUB5 to the 5G variant of the device. It is rolling out across multiple European countries.
One UI 3.1 is a smaller upgrade to the One UI 3.0. It allows Google Discover on the home screen, allows the users to add video call effects in third-party apps, improves the user experience and some minor tweaks. In addition to this, the update also bumps the Android monthly security patch level to February 2021.
The update weighs just over 1.7GB in size. Folds at XDA found that the update brings a new bootloader version (v2). This new version of the bootloader does not allow the user to revert back to the older firmware through manual flashing.
If you have not received the update yet, check it manually by navigating to Settings -> Software update. The company will roll out the One UI 3.1 update to older flagships well.
