Without teasing much about the Galaxy S21 FE, Samsung unveiled the device at CES 2022 event. Galaxy S21 FE also brings flagship-level specs at a lower price point, for which the Galaxy FE phones are known.
The Galaxy S21 FE has a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with 2340 x 1080 pixels (FullHD+) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Snapdragon 888 5G chipset does the processing tasks, which is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The rear camera module in Samsung Galaxy FE includes a 12MP ultra-wide lens with a 123-degree field of view, a 12MP primary camera with OIS, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 30x zoom. The punch-hole cutout on the front is the home for a 32MP selfie snapper. Camera features include Multi-camera recording – allows you to record from both rear and selfie cameras at the same time in a single video, Night mode – takes multiple shots and combines all into a single image, and uses AI to boost the quality.
Galaxy S21 FE houses a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging. It weighs 177g and has a thickness of 7.9mm, which makes it lighter and thinner than its predecessor. The phone boots Android12-based One UI 4 skin at the top. It features an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, and is IP68-certified for water & dust resistance.
Samsung is offering Galaxy S21 FE in four colour options – Lavender, White, Olive, and Graphite. The base 6GB + 128GB model is priced at $699 (~INR 52,000). It will be up for sale starting January 11.
