Whenever a new Android version rolls out, either Google pixel or OnePlus smartphones becomes the first to ship with the latest Android OS. But this time, Vivo beats Google to launch the first phone with Android 11. The Vivo device running Android 11 out of the box is the Vivo V20.
Today, Google will also announce Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 at an event that also runs Android 11 out of the box. In a recent press release, Vivo confirms that its V20 series will run Android 11 OS. The lineup includes V20, V20 Pro, and V20 SE in which V20 is the only phone running Android 11 OS. The other two models will receive the update after the rollout begins.
The device has already reached to several Indonesian YouTubers whose unboxing video confirms that the device is running Android 11 (API level 30). [See the image]
Vivo V20 specifications
The V20 flaunts a 6.44-inch OLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is powered by Snapdragon 720G chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. You can also expand the storage using a microSD card slot.
In terms of photography, the device features a 44MP front-facing camera. On the back, it has a triple-camera with design similar to the X50 Pro. The setup consists of a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Vivo V20 packs a 4,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. The phone is priced at IND 5 million (~Rs 24,700/$336) and comes in Black, White, and Violet gradient colors. It is available for pre-order in Southeast Asian countries.
