The reach of MediaTek chipset has increased at a massive rate in recent years. According to a recent report from Counterpoint, the chip giant sold 43% of all smartphone chipsets in the market in Q2 2021, which is far more than Qualcomm and Apple. MediaTek chips are much popular in the mid-range category, and now, the company is looking to take on the premium segment as well with the Dimensity 2000 SoC.

Reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station shared an image revealing AnTuTu details of a Vivo phone running an unannounced MediaTek chip. From the leaked screenshot, we can see that the device has scored over 1 million points on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform. It is the highest AnTuTu score achieved by any phone.

The AnTuTu test was conducted on a Vivo phone carrying model number V2184. It is powered by an unknown MediaTek MT6983 processor. Another tipster Ice Universe claims that this is the MediaTek Dimensity 2000 chipset.

Yesterday, MediaTek hinted at the arrival of a new chipset built with 4nm advanced technology. While the company has revealed its name, it is claimed to offer superb battery life. The AnTuTu point for the alleged MediaTek Dimensity 2000 SoC suggests that it could be the most powerful chip for smartphones. Hopefully, we’ll get more details about the chip through leaks or official teasers.
