Xiaomi is working to launch 200W fast charging phone in the second half of 2021
Last year, Xiaomi launched the Mi 10 Ultra with a whopping 120W fast charging support. Now, the company is reportedly working to bring a phone with 200W fast charging support. Reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station also claims that the flagship phone is currently under testing and will launch in the second half of this year.

As of now, the name of this upcoming device is unknown. But, it is most likely to be called Mi 11 Ultra, a successor to the Mi 10 Ultra. The 120W charging speed in Mi 10 Ultra took about 5 minutes to fill 50% and about 23 minutes to reach 100%.
Talking about fast charging, there are more devices from other brands in the 120W fast charging category. This includes IQOO 7 and nubia Red Magic 6 Pro, both launched earlier this year.
The heat becomes the major problem for fast charging devices. As the charging speed gets higher and higher, the device gets more heated. To overcome this, companies split the batteries into two pieces, called dual-cell technology. So, it will be interesting to see, how Xiaomi manages to overcome the heating issue in the upcoming 200W fast charging phone.
