Xiaomi Mi 10i to launch in India as a rebadged Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G

Last week, Xiaomi launched the new Redmi Note 9 lineup in China. The company unveiled Redmi Note 9 5G, Note 9 Pro 5G, and Note 9 4G. At the launch, Xiaomi didn’t announce anything about the international availability of the Note 9 series.

Now, Xiaomi Mi 10i with model number M2007J17I has been spotted on Google Play Console. The reently launched Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G has a similar model number (M2007J17C). So, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G could launch in India as the Redmi 10i. Therefore, the Redmi 10i could be another 108-megapixel Redmi smartphone.

Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G: specification

The smartphone comes with a 6.67-inch FullHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It is powered by Snapdragon 750G chipset integrated with X52 modem. The phone packs a 4,820mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging.

The quad-camera setup on the back includes a 108MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro shoot. For selfies and video calling, there’s a 16MP front camera. For connectivity, the phone comes with 11 antennas for a better 5G connection, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, IR Blaster, and NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G was launched in China with a starting price of CNY1,600 (roughly Rs 18,000) for the 6GB/128GB variant and goes up to CNY 2,000 (roughly Rs 22,500) for the 8GB/256GB variant.
