Xiaomi Mi 11 launches with Snapdragon 888 SoC, 108MP triple cameras, and a 120Hz display

Xiaomi Mi 11 launches as the World’s first Snapdragon 888 powered smartphone. The smartphone comes with top-tier specs that include a high-end display, powerful cameras, and premium speakers. Let’s take a deep dive into the Xiaomi Mi 11 price and specifications.

Xiaomi Mi 11: price, availability

The Xiaomi Mi 11 price has been set at ¥3999 (~Rs 45,000/$611) for the 8GB/128GB and goes up to ¥4299 (~Rs 48,400/$657) for the 8GB/256GB variant. There’s also a 12GB/256GB variant priced at ¥4699 (~Rs 52,800/$719).

The Mi 11 will be offered in Black, White, Blue, Khaki Vegan Leather, Purple Leather colors. There’s also a special Lei Jun Signature Edition that will be only available in 12GB/256GB at the same price.

The smartphone is already up for pre-order and sales will kick off starting January 1, 2021. You might be aware of that Mi 11 does not ship with chargers in the box. But, the special edition will come with a 55W GaN charger, but only for a limited number of customers. After which, buyers will need to pay ¥99 extra to get the charger.

Mi 11 is probably the best flagship smartphone of this year. It offers a 6.81 curved AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Surprisingly, the phone offers a 480Hz touch sampling rate, which is the highest in any smartphone. The front panel also features a peak brightness of 1,500nits and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Mi 11 is driven by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It has no MicroSD slot for additional storage. Xiaomi Mi 11 packs a 4,500mAh battery and support 55W fast wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Additionally, it supports Quick Charge 4+, Quick Charge 3+, and Power Delivery 3.0.

The triple rear camera setup has a 108-megapixel main sensor with a 1/1.33” sensor size, 7P lens, and F1.85 aperture. It is joined with a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 123° field of view and the third one is a 5MP macro lens. The front side features a 20-megapixel selfie shooter. Camera features include Super Night Scene video mode, 8K video recording, Video LOG mode, HEIF format support, Cinematic Lens, and more.

Other notable specs include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Harman Kardon-tuned stereo speakers, dual 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, and NFC technology. Xiaomi has used Goodix’s latest optical fingerprint scanner which also supports heart rate monitoring, but Xiaomi didn’t announce any such feature at the launch.

Xiaomi expected to bring a Pro variant of Mi 11 that could go official in mid-2021. The Mi 11 Pro could arrive with a periscope lens as per the leaked renders. We’ll update you on this, whenever we get an update.
