ZTE has officially confirmed the arrival of Axon 30 5G by teasing a new poster through a Weibo post. The teaser reveals that Axon 30 5G will use the under-display camera technology, better than Axon 20 5G. It seems that ZTE has done good work this time, as the front camera is completely invisible. The ZTE Axon 30 5G appears slim all around. It has a power button and volume rockers on the right side.
The ZTE Axon 30 series already includes Axon 30 Pro 5G and Axon 30 Ultra 5G. So, the upcoming Axon 30 5G will be the third in the lineup. Axon 20 5G was the world’s first phone to have an under-display selfie camera and now the company is at the edge of unveiling another phone with the same technology but much improved than the first-gen.
Apart from ZTE, many smartphone manufacturers are gearing up to launch phones with the under-display selfie camera. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is one of them, which is expected to debut next month. The upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 is also expected to launch this year with an under-display selfie camera.
ZTE Axon 30 5G launch date
The poster does not reveal a launch date for the ZTE Axon 30 5G but hints that it may release soon. If we believe the past leaks, the phone should launch by the end of July 2021.
ZTE Axon 30 5G specifications (rumored)
The Axon 30 5G is expected to feature a 64-megapixel quad-camera setup on the back. The phone is believed to have model number A2322 which was recently certified by 3C Authority with 55W fast charging. As of now, there is no much known about the ZTE Axon 30 5G. But, it’s likely to retain most of the Axon 30 Pro specifications.
