One UI 8.5 Beta 6 update is rolling out to Galaxy S25 series

Just after the Galaxy S26 launch, Samsung has released the sixth One UI 8.5 beta build for the Galaxy S25 series. This latest update, carrying firmware version ZZAO, focuses primarily on polishing the software with several important bug fixes, signaling that the stable rollout is nearing.

The Beta 6 update is already available for registered beta testers in key markets including India, Germany, and South Korea. With a download size of 568MB for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, this build addresses several specific issues that beta testers have encountered.

Beta participants can install the update via Settings > Software update > Download and install.

One UI 8.5 Beta 6 changelog:

  • Fixed an issue with the Bixby > Labs > Create wake-up phrase feature
  • Fixed an issue where two “View Previous Image” buttons appeared when using the sketch conversion feature in the Gallery
  • Fixed issues with the text, icons, and AOD visibility of Now Bar/Now Brief recommendation cards
  • Fixed a forced close issue when changing the camera area settings in Settings > Display
  • Fixed an issue where the lock screen style of Basic mode was changed in Modes and Routines
  • Improved animation related to notification cards

Most of these changes focus on refining the user experience and visual consistency rather than introducing new features, suggesting Samsung is in the final optimization phase before the stable rollout to older devices. The company appears to be ironing out the last remaining bugs ahead of the public rollout.
