Samsung has been steadily expanding the One UI 8.5 beta program beyond its original boundaries, and today’s rollout is proof of that. Both the Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy S24 FE are now eligible for the One UI 8.5 beta, with the program going live in India and South Korea for both devices.
The Galaxy S25 FE is getting its first One UI 8.5 beta build, which weighs in at approximately 4.5GB and comes with the build version ZZCE. The Galaxy S24 FE’s update is slightly smaller at around 4.1GB, arriving with firmware version ZZCD in India and bundling the March 2026 security patch. Expansion to other regions, including the UK and the US, is expected to follow soon.

To get started on either device, you’ll need to install the Samsung Members app and find the One UI 8.5 Beta Program banner to register. Once enrolled, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install, and the update should show up. Tap Install now, and your phone will restart during the process.
It’s worth keeping in mind that beta software is inherently unfinished. Bugs, performance hiccups, and stability issues are par for the course. If you rely on your Galaxy S25 FE or S24 FE as your primary phone, it’s probably worth waiting for the stable build before jumping in.
This expansion is part of a broader push by Samsung to get more Galaxy devices on One UI 8.5. The S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra have been in the beta program since December 2025, and the S24 lineup joined the party not long ago. The Fan Edition models were notably absent until now.
The stable version of One UI 8.5 is expected to roll out broadly in the coming weeks, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung will likely push multiple beta builds for the FE models before the stable release reaches them, so don’t expect an immediate turnaround. We’ll keep you posted as things move forward, so stay tuned.
