Samsung is wasting no time expanding the One UI 8 rollout. After releasing the update for the Galaxy S22 series in Korea just a day ago, the company has now started pushing it out to users in India. The Galaxy S23 FE is also joining the party, receiving its stable One UI 8 update in the country after first picking it up in Korea and Europe just recently.
Galaxy S22 and S23 FE get One UI 8 update in india
The Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra are now receiving the Android 16-based One UI 8 update in India. The rollout carries the following firmware versions:
- Galaxy S22 – S901EXXUCGYIF
- Galaxy S22+ – S906EXXUCGYIF
- Galaxy S22 Ultra – S908EXXUCGYIF
The Galaxy S23 FE, on the other hand, is getting the update with firmware version S711BXXUAFYI6.
As usual, you can check for the update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The rollout is happening in phases, so if it hasn’t appeared on your device yet, it should reach you within the next few days.
Samsung delivers on its promise
It’s impressive how quickly Samsung is expanding One UI 8 to more markets and devices. The Galaxy S22 series, which launched with Android 12 and One UI 4, is now receiving its fourth major OS update — a milestone that reflects Samsung’s strong software commitment. The Galaxy S23 FE, launched just last year, is also getting the latest software ahead of several flagship models in some regions.
With India now added to the rollout list, other Asian and Middle Eastern countries are expected to follow soon. Samsung’s goal is clearly to make One UI 8 (Android 16) available to as many Galaxy users as possible before the end of the month — and so far, the company’s pacing looks strong.
What’s new in One UI 8?
One UI 8 introduces a refined interface, improved system animations, and several under-the-hood changes for better performance. You’ll also find redesigned apps like Calendar, Reminder, and My Files, as well as new options in Modes and Routines. Samsung has further enhanced DeX mode, Quick Share, and Secure Folder, while adding more customization tools for your lock screen and widgets.
Both the Galaxy S22 lineup and Galaxy S23 FE updates are over 3GB in size, so it’s best to use Wi-Fi when downloading. The rollout also includes the October 2025 security patch, ensuring your device stays up to date and protected.
