One UI 8 rolls out to Galaxy M54, M16, and A16 in multiple regions

Samsung’s One UI 8 rollout going strong. After bringing Android 16 to a range of mid-range and flagship devices over the past few weeks, the company is now extending the stable update to three more affordable smartphones — the Galaxy M54, Galaxy M16, and Galaxy A16.

The Galaxy M54 is now receiving the One UI 8 (Android 16) update in several countries, including Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Thailand, and Vietnam. The update arrives with the firmware version M546BXXU9EYI4, and as usual, it’s being rolled out in phases. Users in other markets should expect the update to appear on their devices in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Indian users of the Galaxy A16 and Galaxy M16 are also getting a taste of Android 16. The Galaxy A16’s update comes with firmware version A166PXXU5CYI8, while the Galaxy M16’s build number is M166PODM3CYI9. Both smartphones received the same update in South Korea last week, and its arrival in India marks the next step in Samsung’s rapid global expansion of One UI 8.

The update brings Samsung’s latest Android 16–based interface, packed with design improvements, AI-powered enhancements, and better system performance. One UI 8 introduces refinements to the Quick Panel, Samsung Internet, My Files, and Weather apps, along with updated tools for Calendar and Reminders. Users can also expect smoother animations, faster app launches, and improved battery optimization.

If you own any of these devices, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Ensure your device has enough battery and a stable Wi-Fi connection before proceeding with the installation.

With these rollouts, Samsung continues to demonstrate its unmatched update speed in the Android world, delivering One UI 8 to even its budget and mid-range devices well ahead of schedule.
