OnePlus Android 13 (OxygenOS 13) Update List, Tracker, and Roadmap
OnePlus is among the very first smartphone brands that allow its users to get an early taste of the upcoming Android OS. The company has nearly completed the rollout of Android 12 which brought a hell lot of new features and design changes. OxygenOS 13 Features
Android 13 mainly brings stability improvements as major design changes and features have been announced in the last release. However, it does not mean that there’s nothing new. There are several exciting changes detailed below.
- Much Improved AOD: If you are a fan of Always-on-Display (AOD), you’re going to fall in love with Android 13. The AOD on OxygenOS 13 can show Spotify player and some of your favorite tracks for easy navigation. Not just that, the AOD can also show you the time your food app will take to deliver your order. Also, there’s Canvas AOD, Insight AOD, and Bitmoji AOD to make the AOD screen more interesting.
- Improving Gaming: OxygenOS 13 also brings gaming improvements, thanks to the improved HyperBoost Gaming Engine and GPA 4.0. You can choose from multiple performance modes to prioritize battery saving or performance.
- Sidebar Toolbox: You can increase your productivity by using the sidebar toolbox. Add the apps you open very often to the sidebar for quick access.
- Aquamorphic Design: The latest OxygenOS skin brings a new design language called “Aquamorphic design”. It is inspired by nature and aims to offer a clean interface, redesigned color scheme, and more.
- Audio Improvements: With the OxygenOS 13, OnePlus introduces support for Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio. Dolby Atmos is not available on all OnePlus phones as it requires specific hardware. With Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio, you get a surround sound experience, immersive audio, and the ability to choose the audio direction. With smart audio switching, you can seamlessly switch between headphone devices.

OnePlus 7 and 7T series won’t get the Android 13 update. The devices are entitled to receive 3 major OS upgrades, which have already been released. So, they are not eligible to receive the OxygenOS 13 (Android 13) update.

OnePlus has not released a rollout timeline for the Android 13 update. So, we do not know when OnePlus phone will get the update. But, you can check out the next section to get the latest information on Android 13 for the OnePlus phones.

Update #25 [February 3, 2023]: The OxygenOS 13 update for the OnePlus has bricked many OnePlus 9 series phones. To fix the issue, the company has now released a bugfix OTA. If your device got affected, installing it should fix all issues.

Update #17 [November 10, 2022]: Stable Android 13 build is now rolling out to Indian, EU, and global model of the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro.
Update #16 [November 05, 2022]: OnePlus is rolling out OxygenOS 13 Open beta 2 to OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, 8T, and 9R users in India. The devices are likely to get the stable build soon.

Update #9 [August 19, 2022]: OnePlus announces closed beta for the OnePlus 9R, 10R, and 8T users in India. Also, the company has recently announced open beta 2 for the OnePlus 10 Pro users.

Update #7 [August 11, 2022]: OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 1 is now live for OnePlus 10 Pro users in India and North America.
