OnePlus has finally announced the launch date for its next Nord phone called, OnePlus Nord CE 5G. The smartphone will launch in India and Europe on June 10 at the Summer Launch Event. OnePlus will also unveil OnePlus TV U series at the same event. It is expected to come in three screen sizes – 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch.
Nord CE 5G is believed to be a successor of Nord N10 5G, which was launched in Europe but didn’t make its way to India. For OnePlus Nord CE, the company says “focused on delivering the core excellent features needed in a device while also bringing the signature Nord experience to users.”
In a recent talk with Techradar, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau revealed that “we have distilled the original Nord down to its core elements, and added a few extra features to create a great everyday phone at an even more affordable price”. He revealed that the “CE” stands for Core Edition. Lau also confirmed the existence of OnePlus Nord N200 5G. It will be a successor to the last year’s Nord N100 5G and will be exclusive for the US and Canada. He also confirmed that the device will not be announce at the Summer Launch Event.
Coming back to Nord CE 5G, a dedicated page for the device is already on Amazon India, confirming that it’ll go on sale via Amazon. The company has confirmed that the phone will be available for pre-order for the Red Cable Club members on June 11 and the remaining users can pre-order OnePlus Nord CE 5G on June 16. The specs and pricing of the phone are currently unknown but rumors are that it will cost around Rs 23,000.
