Oppo A76 ColorOS 12 Beta Application Goes Live, Apply Now
As promised, Oppo has announced ColorOS 12 Beta application for Oppo A76. The first batch of ColorOS 12 Beta for the phone has a limited quota of 5,000 seats. For now, the beta program is available for Oppo A76 users in India.
The Oppo A76 ColorOS 12 Beta registrations for the first batch will be open till May 19. Before filling out the application form, make sure your Oppo A76 has the latest firmware version, A.06, to be eligible for the beta testing.
Beta builds are likely to have bugs. So, you may face some problems with your device after installing the ColorOS 12 beta. Therefore, it is always recommended not to test any builds on your primary device. The first batch has a total of 5,000 seats. So, if you don’t get to try ColorOS 12 Beta in the first batch, wait for Oppo to announce the second batch.
How to apply for ColorOS 12 Beta program on Oppo A76
- Open the Settings app.
- Go to Software Update.
- Click on the gear icon.
- Select Request beta.
- Tap on Update beta.
- Follow on-screen instructions and complete your application.
The Android 12-based ColorOS 12 beta phase will last for at least a month. After that, the brand will start rolling out the stable build. You can expect Oppo to release a stable build in early June.
Oppo A76: Device Overview
Oppo A76 is a mid-range phone released earlier this year with Android 11 out of the box. It came with ColorOS 11.1 skin and is on the way to receive ColorOS 12 as the first major software update. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 680 4G chipset, paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
