Oppo F15 is receiving a new software update that brings RAM expansion feature, June 2021 security patch, and some improvements. The smartphone was launched last year with Android 9 Pie onboard and couple of months back, it received Android 11 as the second major OS upgrade.
The new software update for Oppo F15 is rolling out in Asian countries with firmware version CPH2001_11_F.61. The Virtual RAM feature uses a small part of internal storage to work like RAM and provides performance boost to some extent. This improves app loading time and allows the system to keep more apps in the background. Now a days, the virtual RAM feature has become common to many smartphones.
In addition to the virtual RAM feature, the new update adds June 2021 security patch that fixes dozens of system security and privacy related issues. It also brings a fix to slow Wi-Fi issue and improves system smoothness and settings page layout in Simple mode. The company has already started rolling out the new update for Oppo F15 users in Aisa. If you have not received it yet, then manually check by heading to Settings -> Software updates.
