POCO F5 HyperOS Update Is Rolling Out In India

Weeks after the pilot testing, POCO is finally rolling out the stable HyperOS update to the POCO F5 users in India. Xiaomi has put years of effort into building HyperOS from the ground up, ensuring that it remains lightweight and integrates seamlessly with connected devices.

The latest update for the POCO F5 comes with HyperOS software version. As it’s a major OS update, you’ll need to download a heavy software package with a download size of 5GB. So, ensure that the device has stable internet connectivity with sufficient network bandwidth. Before installing the update, make sure to charge your device at least 50% to reduce the risk of update failure.

The latest HyperOS update is based on Android 14. It brings major under-the-hood upgrades. First things first, HyperOS is a lightweight OS compared to MIUI. So, it’ll consume less storage and offer better performance. With the new OS, Xiaomi aims to seamlessly integrate the software within its devices. So, they can now easily communicate with each other.

There are new animations, a multi-window interface for multitasking, new lock-screen customizations, a redesigned weather app, and more. In addition to HyperOS goodies, the POCO F5 is also getting the December 2023 security patch. Last but not least, the update brings VoNR support for Jio.
