Samsung delays One UI 8 beta expansion in India

Samsung had Galaxy fans in India excited last week when it announced that the One UI 8 beta would roll out to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 starting August 11. However, it’s now August 12, and the highly anticipated update still hasn’t shown up for any of these devices in the country.

The company hasn’t shared any reason for the delay, leaving users wondering when they’ll finally get a taste of Android 16 on their phones.

Why is Samsung delaying One UI 8 beta expasion?

While Samsung hasn’t provided an official explanation, beta releases can be held back for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, last-minute bugs are discovered that could affect stability or key features. In other cases, regional approval processes or internal testing might cause a short hold-up before the rollout begins. Whatever the reason, it’s clear that Samsung isn’t ready to push the beta in India just yet.
