The February 2026 security patch is still making its rounds, and the Galaxy M53 has finally joined the list. Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for the M53 in India, bringing the device up to date on security.
The update is 325.09MB in size and carries firmware version M356BXXSEGZB7. In total, it patches 37 vulnerabilities, 25 of which originate from Google and 12 from Samsung directly. Those Samsung-specific fixes cover some important areas, including Emergency Sharing, Knox Guard Manager, Samsung Dialer, the Settings app, facial and fingerprint authentication, and the PACM module.

To check if the update is available on your device, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The firmware will also be added to our database shortly, so you’ll be able to download and flash it manually using Samsung’s Odin tool if needed.
It’s also worth mentioning that the Galaxy M53 is expected to receive One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 QPR2 in the coming weeks. That update will bring a refreshed interface and a range of new features, so there’s more to look forward to beyond just security fixes.
We’ll keep you updated as the rollout expands.
