Samsung is moving closer to the stable One UI 8 release. After teasing the update last week, the company has now started rolling out One UI 8 Beta 4 for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra — and it’s now live in multiple regions, including India, South Korea, and across Europe.

The fourth beta version comes about a month after Beta 3, and while many expected the next update to be the stable release, Samsung had one more test build in the pipeline. Beta 4 comes with firmware version ZYGB and weighs around 1.3GB, though the size might vary slightly depending on your region and device model.
As expected, this release is all about polishing the user experience. It squashes several known issues affecting apps and system functions — including problems with AI-generated reply suggestions, Bixby routines, outgoing calls, the Gallery, and the Camera app.
Samsung has also made improvements to Samsung DeX, including the ability to switch to full-screen mode when playing videos. These updates suggest that the company is wrapping up development and putting the finishing touches on the final build.

Stable One UI 8 should be next
While Samsung hasn’t confirmed it officially, this fourth beta is likely the last one before the stable version arrives. If everything goes smoothly, we could see the official One UI 8 rollout begin sometime in August — although it may happen slightly later than initially expected.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE already ship with One UI 8 out of the box, thanks to Samsung adopting Google’s Trunk-based development model. The rest of Samsung’s eligible lineup is still in the beta phase.
Assuming the Galaxy S25 series gets the stable update next month, other supported models like the Galaxy S24, Fold 6, and Flip 6 may follow soon after. Whether Samsung manages to complete the global rollout before the end of 2025 remains to be seen. A One UI 8.5 update could arrive early next year alongside the Galaxy S26 series.
