Samsung Galaxy A01, A02, A02s, A03, A03s One UI 4.0 (Android 12) Update Tracker

Samsung has a very impressive software update policy. While most smartphone brands roll out three major OS updates to their flagship phones, Samsung is one step ahead with a promise to release four major Android updates. The company releases three Android OS updates to high-end Galaxy A-series phones, and the remaining gets two years of Android updates. In this update tracker article, we’ll continue to update you with the latest information on Android 12 and One UI 4.0 update for Samsung Galaxy A01, Galaxy A02, Galaxy A02s, Galaxy A03, and Galaxy A03s.

Galaxy A01, A02, A02s, A03, and A03s are entry-level Samsung smartphones. The Galaxy A01 and A02 series were launched with Android 10 out of the box. They have already received their first major OS update in the form of Android 11. The Galaxy A03 and Galaxy A03s were launched last year with Android 11. According to Samsung’s software update policy, all the devices mentioned here are eligible to receive the Android 12 update.

Samsung’s latest One UI skin is based on Android 12. The update brings lots of cool features and changes. Material You colour theming is the highlight of Android 12 that allows you to choose custom colour palettes applied to almost every element on the phone. One UI 4 also brings RAM Plus (also known as virtual RAM). The update also brings a redesigned media output, new widgets, improved dark mode, Camera app UI improvements, Grammarly-integrated Samsung Keyboard, and more.

In recent weeks, Samsung has released the Android 12 update for a number of Galaxy phones. The interesting thing to note here is that all the devices received One UI 4.1 skin. So, the next Android update for the Galaxy A01, A02, and A03 series is also likely to come with One UI 4.1.

[Update: Jul 5, 2022]: The Android 12 update is now rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy A02s and Galaxy A03s. Both the devices are getting the One UI 4.1 skin with the latest update. For Galaxy A02s, the Android 12 update is rolling out in Russia with the firmware version A025FXXU4CVF4. The Galaxy A03s, on the other hand, is getting the update in Serbia with the firmware version A037FXXU1BVFB. Besides One UI 4.1 and Android 12 perks, the devices are also getting the June 2022 security update.

[Update: Mar 25, 2022]: Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy A02s. Unfortunately, it is based on Android 11. The new update brings the March 2022 security patch. It is currently rolling in various European countries with the firmware version A025xXXS4BVC2.
