At the Galaxy Unpacked 2020, Samsung has announced the Galaxy Z Fold 2. This is the third smartphone announced at the Unpacked 2020 along with the Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Note20 Ultra. Samsung has not unveiled the pricing details and much specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 2. But, XDA has posted with more information.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has 7.6-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x internal display with Ultra Thin Glass, and 120Hz refresh rate. The external screen is 6.23-inch HD+ Super AMOLED with 60Hz refresh rate and supports HDR10+. The handset is powered by Snapdragon 865+ paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
As for the cameras, we have triple 12MP sensors on the back with different lenses. The main 12MP camera has F1.8 aperture and features OIS. The second 12MP sensor with F2.4 aperture is for telephoto and the third 12MP camera with F2.2 aperture is for ultra-wide shots. We have a 10MP front camera both in folded and unfolded condition with F2.2 fixed focus.
The handset runs Android 10 with OneUI custom skin on the top. It packs 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging support and 11W wireless charging and also supports reverse wireless charging. The phone comes with a side mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be up for pre-order from September 1 with pricing details. It will be available in Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze color options.
