One UI 8.5 made its debut with the Galaxy S26 series in February, and a broader rollout to older Galaxy devices is now just around the corner. If you’re wondering whether your phone or tablet is getting the update, here’s everything we know so far.
Samsung hasn’t put out an official compatibility list yet, but the update is widely expected to reach all Galaxy devices that shipped with or received One UI 8.0. Based on that, here’s the full unofficial list of eligible devices:

It’s worth keeping in mind that this is still an unofficial list and could change. We’ll update it once Samsung publishes something official. Also, for several devices on this list, One UI 8.5 will be the final major feature update. Security patches will still come after that, but don’t expect another big software upgrade.
As for when the rollout actually kicks off, Samsung hasn’t said anything concrete. The One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series has been running for a while now, and recently, it expanded to Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Once the S25 series gets the stable update, other devices should follow fairly quickly.
Hopefully, Samsung keeps the momentum going and doesn’t drag out the rollout the way it did with One UI 7. We’ll keep you posted with the latest development here on the website.
