The affordable Galaxy Tab A9 is now receiving the One UI 8 update. As promised in the Korean rollout schedule, the tablet is now receiving the Android 16-based One UI 8 update right on time.
The update has started rolling out in South Korea. It arrives with firmware version X11xXXU6DYK3 and has a download package of 2,592.91MB. Along with One UI 8 and Android 16, Samsung has also bundled the October 2025 security patch, which resolves multiple vulnerabilities and improves system stability.

If you own a Galaxy Tab A9, check if the One UI 8 update is available for installation. Just head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the OTA package finishes downloading, tap Install now and allow the tablet a few minutes to complete the process.
Samsung’s official rollout roadmap for India also lists November as the release window for the Tab A9, so other markets should start seeing the stable update in the coming days. With One UI 8, the tablet gains a refreshed interface, smoother animations, improved multitasking tools, redesigned first-party apps, and new personalization features — all enhancements that significantly elevate the A9’s user experience.
