Samsung and South Korean company SK Telecom teamed up to announce Galaxy A Quantum. The phone supports 5G connectivity and has the Quantum random number generator (QRNG) chipset. This QRNG chipset enhances the security by generating random numbers and create unpredictable secure keys.
The QRNG chipset consist of an LED and a CMOS image sensor, it detects the emitted light and generates random numbers. These random numbers are used by banking apps, mobile payment apps to generate encryption keys and thus improving security. The chipset starts to generate random numbers when the user first logs into the carrier account on the device.

Samsung Galaxy A Quantum price is set for KRW 649,000 (Rs 39,900/$530). Currently, it is available for pre-booking and first sale will go on May 22 in South Korea. Customer who pre-book this phone will get a pair of Galaxy Buds for free.

Galaxy A Quantum is the rebranded version of Galaxy A71 5G with additional Quantum chipset. It has a 6.7-inch FHD+ super AMOLED display. Galaxy A Quantum is powered by Exynos 980 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
For camera specifications, the device has quad rear camera setup comprising of 64MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro and 5MP depth sensor. On the rear side, there is a 32MP selfie shooter. It packs with 4500mAh battery and 25W fast charging support.
Galaxy A Quantum runs on One UI based on Android 10. It comes in singe storage variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Additionally, you get an in-display fingerprint scanner.
