Samsung’s February 2026 security patch is making its way to several Galaxy tablets. The update is now rolling out to the Galaxy Tab S9 series, Tab S8 series, Tab S10 FE, Tab S9 FE, and Tab A9, expanding the coverage that previously started with the Tab S10 lineup and the Tab Active 5 Pro.

These Galaxy tablets are now receiving the February 2026 security update:

  • Galaxy Tab S10 FE
  • Galaxy Tab S9
  • Galaxy Tab S9+
  • Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
  • Galaxy Tab S9 FE
  • Galaxy Tab S8
  • Galaxy Tab S8+
  • Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra
  • Galaxy Tab A9

The rollout on the tablet side had been noticeably slower compared to Samsung’s smartphone updates, where the company had already pushed the February patch to flagships and a number of mid-range models. Things are picking up now, though. These tablets are receiving the update in select regions, with a broader rollout expected over the coming days. Build versions and OTA file sizes differ by model and market, so don’t be surprised if your update looks a little different from someone else’s.

In terms of what’s actually included, don’t expect much beyond the security fixes themselves. The February 2026 patch fixes 37 vulnerabilities in total, with 25 coming from Google and the remaining 12 being Samsung-specific fixes. Those Samsung patches cover some fairly important areas, including Emergency Sharing, Knox Guard Manager, Samsung Dialer, the Settings app, facial and fingerprint authentication, and the PACM module.

It’s worth keeping in mind that all of these tablets are in line for One UI 8.5. While Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed a timeline, the update is widely expected to reach eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets by mid-2026. So the real goodies are still coming, just not today.

To check for the update manually, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If nothing shows up, give it a few days and try again. Staying current on security patches is always a good habit, even when the updates are light on new features.
