Google’s Android Operating System (OS) is the current most popular mobile OS covering nearly 87% of all smartphones. But, things may turn around as Huawei has been developing its OS own called HarmonyOS. Rumors are that along with Huawei, some popular smartphone brands including Vivo, Oppo, Meizu may adopt HarmonyOS. If this is so, then HarmonyOS could be a big competitor of Android OS, even more than iOS.Â
Huawei has started the development of HarmonyOS back in May 2016, before the US conflict. The company reportedly started the first round of public beta testing for HarmonyOS half a year ago. And now, the company has started the second round of HarmonyOS 2.0 public testing. Notably, seven new Huawei phones are added in the second round which are: Nova 6, Nova 6 5G, nova 7 5G, nova 7 Pro 5G, nova 8, nova 8 Pro, and Huawei MatePad 10.8.Â
Interested eligible users can apply for the beta program before May 17. Note that, the seats are limited. So, hurry to grab the seat, else wait for the next round.Â
