Earlier today, just ahead of the seventh One UI 8.5 beta dropping for the Galaxy S25 series, a new firmware build quietly appeared on Samsung’s servers that’s worth paying attention to. It’s not another beta. It looks like the stable release is being prepared.
The firmware in question carries version S93xBXXU8CZC9 and has been spotted on Samsung’s servers across India, Europe, and the US. More importantly, it bundles the March 2026 security patch, which hasn’t rolled out to any Galaxy device yet. That combination of wide regional availability and a fresh security patch is a strong signal that Samsung is getting serious about wrapping up the One UI 8.5 beta program.
It’s important to highlight that a build appearing on the server doesn’t guarantee an imminent public release. Samsung could still pull it back if testing surfaces new bugs or stability concerns before it goes live.
That said, the timing lines up. Samsung has now pushed seven beta updates for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, and the beta program has yet to expand to any other device. It’s still unclear whether phones like the Galaxy S24 series will receive a beta phase at all, or if Samsung plans to push the stable update to them directly.
If everything holds, the stable One UI 8.5 update could be release for the Galaxy S25 series by the end of this month, likely beginning with South Korea. Other regions will follow shortly after. We’ll keep you posted as soon as it starts rolling out.
