Samsung Galaxy S21 series on the T-Mobile network is getting the July 2022 security patch with the latest OTA update. The Galaxy S21 was one of the very first phones to receive the July security patch. However, the update was limited to Germany, which later reached the carrier-locked variants in the US. Now, T-Mobile has pushed the latest security update to the Galaxy S21.

The Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra on the T-Mobile network are receiving the update with the following One UI build version:

  • Galaxy S21: G991USQU5CVG4
  • Galaxy S21 Plus: G996USQU5CVG4
  • Galaxy S21 Ultra: G998USQU5CVG4

The latest software update mainly brings the July 2022 security patch. It fixes numerous vulnerabilities and exposures of different severity levels to improve device security and user privacy. The vulnerabilities are linked to Samsung Finder, Contacts storage, Knoxguard lock Messages app, Wearable Manager Installer, and more. The update might also include system stability improvements and general bug fixing.

If you are a Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, or S21 Ultra user on the T-Mobile carrier, update your phone by going to Settings >> Software update and tapping on Download and install.

Samsung Galaxy S21 is the flagship series from the South Korean brand. It was released last year with Android 11 out of the box. The devices started getting the Android 12 update towards the end of last year and Android 13 is on the way.
