Jio and Airtel users will continue to receive incoming calls even after validity ends

Jio and Airtel comapny comes to help their users in this lock down situations. Both the company will allow their customers to receive incoming calls even after their plan ends. Due to lockdown situations all over the country, many users are not able to recharge their phone and hence it becomes quite difficult to stay connected. To prevent this situation, Airtel and Jio will allow users to receive incoming calls even after their plan ends.

This step is taken by telecom operators when the country just entered second phase of lockdown. This incoming validity extension will end on May 3.

In the announcement Airtel said, “Many of these (Under-privileged low income workers) have been able to recharge through several channels activated by Airtel including – ATMs, Post Offices, Grocery store and Chemist shops, in addition to digital channels. However close to 30 million such customers have still not been able to recharge their prepaid mobile accounts. Keeping in mind their connectivity needs, Airtel is extending the validity of those accounts till 3 may 2020. All these customers will be able to receive incoming call on their Airtel mobile numbers even after the validity of their plan is exhausted.”

In an official statement, Reliance Jio said, “This will not benefit only low income users but benefit everyone who is unable to do a recharge during this challenging times.”
