Unlocked Galaxy A13 Gets Android 14 One UI 6 Update in the US

Samsung is wrapping up its One UI 6.0 rollout as the brand prepares for the One UI 6.1 release. Last week, the carrier-locked Galaxy A13 units in the US got the Android 14 update, and now it’s available for the unlocked models, too.

The factory-unlocked Galaxy A13 units in the US are getting the One UI 6.0 update with the firmware version A135U1UEU6DXA2. It’s available on several carriers, including Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, C-Spire, DISH, Metro PCS, T-Mobile, and US Cellular. In the coming days, the update should be available on all carriers in the US.

To explore One UI 6.0, users must download a bulky software package that weighs over 1.5GB. You should use a Wi-Fi connection to download such heavy updates.

The Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update brings a redesigned Quick Panel layout, more lock screen customizations, new widgets, a new default font, and updated media player waveform animations. Sadly, the Galaxy A13 is getting the December 2023 security patch, not the February 2024 security patch.

If you have a Galaxy A13 in the US, check if the update is available to download and install. To do that, go to Settings > Software update and click on Download and install. Ensure that your device has at least 50% battery before installing the update.
