Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has already unveiled it’s Redmi 9 to Spain and Malaysia. Now the company will unveil this phone to it’s domestic market i.e China on June 24. On the same day, it will be up for pre-order ar 10AM. It is believed that the company will launch the phone in new set of storage combinations. So, buyers might get 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128 and 6GB/128GB storage variants.
In Malaysia, the Redmi 9 comes in 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB storage options. The 3GB RAM variant is priced at MYR 499 (approx 825 Yuan) and the 4GB RAM variant cost MYR 599 (approx 591 Yuan). You can have a rough idea about the pricing in China by looking at the Malaysian pricing.
Xiaomi Redmi 9 (Global) specifications
The Redmi 9 sports a 6.53-inches LCD display with 83 percent screen-to-body ratio and 400 nits brightness. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 SoC paired with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The global version comes in 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB storage options.
As for the camera, the phone features quad rear camera setup comprising of a 13MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The front side gets an 8MP selfie shooter for front photography. The handset runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10. Maximum battery capacity of Redmi 9 is 5020mAh charges through an 18W fast charger. Additional features are rear-side fingerprint scanner, NFC, Infra-red sensor.
