Samsung’s One UI 8.5 beta expansion is picking up pace. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are now receiving their second beta update, with the rollout currently live in India and South Korea.
The update carries the ZZCD build version and bundles the March 2026 security patch alongside the usual bug fixes. It’s a refinement-focused release, not a feature drop, so don’t expect anything dramatic. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 joined the One UI 8.5 beta program alongside the Z Fold 7 only recently, so getting a second beta this quickly suggests Samsung is moving through the testing cycle at a decent clip.
The changelog covers a handful of practical fixes. Samsung has resolved a readability issue with Now Brief on the cover screen and patched a bug where the lock screen clock could get cropped after resizing it in the editor.
Concert Hall mode in the Sound Assistant feature also gets attention here, as it wasn’t applying correctly when using Buds3 Pro. On top of that, a missing shooting time indicator during palm gesture selfie video recording has been restored, and a file transfer issue that blocked certain folders from copying during storage sharing between a Galaxy Book 4 and the phone has been fixed.
This beta comes shortly after Samsung pushed the 8th One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 series and opened the beta program to the Galaxy S24 series as well. The foldables were always going to be next in line, and Samsung appears committed to pushing them through the beta cycle before the stable rollout begins.
