Samsung rolls out One UI 8.5 beta for Galaxy A54

Samsung’s One UI 8.5 beta program keeps expanding, and the Galaxy A54 is the latest to join. Following the Galaxy A35 and A55, the A54 is now getting early access to One UI 8.5, with India being the first region to receive it. More markets are likely to follow soon.

The beta program for more A-series devices has been in the works for a while now, and the A54 had already appeared on Samsung’s test servers with a beta build earlier this month. The public rollout is now live, carrying the build number ZZD5 and the April 2026 security patch. The package weighs in at over 2.7GB, so a stable Wi-Fi connection is the way to go before hitting download.

It’s important to highlight that this might be it for the One UI 8.5 beta on A-series phones. The Galaxy A34 hasn’t shown up with any beta build so far, and there’s no indication it’ll get one. The Galaxy A56 is also expected to skip the beta program entirely. That leaves the A35, A54, and A55 as what could be the full list of mid-range devices getting pre-release access to One UI 8.5.

For those who own a Galaxy A54 and live in an eligible region, you can sign up through the Samsung Members app. Once you spot the beta banner, register and the update should show up shortly after in Settings > Software update > Download and install. Before jumping in, it’s worth backing up your data since beta builds can occasionally run into stability issues.

Samsung typically runs several beta rounds for each device, gathering feedback and squashing bugs before the final stable release. If you want to know which Galaxy devices are in line for One UI 8.5, or when your phone might actually get it, we’ve got you covered.

We’ll keep you updated as the beta program progresses.
