Canadian Galaxy users may not have to wait much longer for One UI 8.5. A purported rollout schedule for Canada has surfaced online, pointing to specific dates in May for several devices, including the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6.
The leak, spotted by @theonecid, suggests the Galaxy S24 lineup alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are all set to receive the update on May 17. That’s a Sunday, which is a bit unusual since Samsung tends to push updates on weekdays. Still, it’s not without precedent, and if accurate, it gives Canadian users a solid target date to watch for.
Here’s a list of devices and their expected One UI 8.5 update dates in Canada, according to the leaked schedule:
- Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6: May 17
- Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, S23 FE: May 23
- Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5: May 23
- Galaxy A56: May 23
The Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 also appear on the list, though those devices are reportedly already running One UI 8.5 stable, so they’ll likely just receive security patches on their respective dates rather than a full version upgrade.
It’s worth keeping in mind that this is an unofficial leak, not a confirmed schedule from Samsung. Dates can shift, and Samsung hasn’t made any public announcement about the Canadian rollout. That said, the One UI 8.5 stable rollout has already reached some regions, so a late May timeline for Canada feels plausible given how these regional rollouts typically progress over several weeks.
If the schedule holds, the bulk of eligible Galaxy devices in Canada should have One UI 8.5 by the end of May. We’ll keep you updated as Samsung makes things official.
